Access this EcoSpace

Gull Lake wetlands can be viewed from Hwy 88 near the Rocky Lane turn off. It is difficult (though not impossible) to access the lake for Canoeing - stop by and we will tell you how!

Gull Lake Wetlands

South of the Boyer River and east of Highway 88 are the Gull Lake Wetlands.  Dedicated in 1988 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Ducks Unlimited Canada and the Bicentennial of Fort Vermilion, this "ecospace" is ecologically, archaeologically and historically important.  Under the "Buck for Wildlife" program, areas such as this are set aside to maintain, improve and develop important wildlife and aquatic habitat throughout Alberta.
